Search newsgroups with NZB files or from website:
NZB files are newsbin file extensions. When you download and import this
file into your newsreader it will automatically download the headers from
the indexed location. It allows you to then search all the groups for a
particular file without having to goto each group and download the header
list for each one.
If you are using some of the most popular newsgroup readers such as
NewsBinPro, GrabIt, NewsLeecher and BNR you will be able to import and use
NZB files.
The following sites have free .NZB files and the first one lets you search
on their site without having to download a NZB file and import it into
your browser.

P2P specific IP blocking software:
Do you not want the MPAA/RIAA and other companies spying on your
download activity? Tired of downloading fake chunks of a file? Then you
may want to consider blocking these entities by installing either
peerguarding or protowall.
Peerguarding and Protowall server a mini firewalls that will block network
connections that are in a large list of blocked addresses. These blocking
lists are updated daily by both software developers. You can also add
your own IPs to the lists.
Protowall is a bit more complex to operate, however Peerguardian is less
CPU/RAM demanding.

Check your POP3/SMTP for FREE with mail2web:
Now you can check your email from your own account without using a
POP3/SMTP email client. By using your browser to goto mail2web.com you
can signup a free account and put in your mail server info to check it
from their web site. Pretty sweet.

Setup some excellent backup and recovery procedures:
For regular file-by-file backups the preferred choice is EMC Dantz
Retrospect. This program is what is used by external hard drives designed

Notify bluetooth wireless networks with bluespam:
Do you want to find open bluetooth networks and leave them a message that
you have detected it and letting them know? Well know you can with
BlueSpam.
BlueSpam searches for all discoverable bluetooth devices and sends a file
to them (spams them) if they support OBEX. OBEX is the same protocol used
when you beam/send your business card from one phone to another.
BlueSpam also supports backfire mode. If you put your device into
discoverable and connectable mode, anyone who attempts to connect via
bluetooth you will send them a custom message back automatically.
